I'm not quite sure either but its the beady eyes from the barber shop, and possibly the ghost of our blessed virgin. Bravo everyone, the drawings are wonderful, and they made my day, and they add meaning to my life, and thank you.

As Douglas Adams said, "I love deadlines. I love the wooshing sound they make as they fly by."
Sorry. I'm scum. And really bad at drawing.
You guys did great! I think I may print all these out and make my copy of the book into a "graphic novel."

Name: Rubber DuckieDon't worry about it Trillian. If you've already drawn one up send it in and I'll ad it. I got your email. Excellent job. I love it.

As someone who hasn't read a page of this book, I must say that your scrimshaws are bringing it to life for me!
RDD - if you want me to attempt a 'shaw then give me a quote or scene and I'll attempt to draw that.
Thank you all, once again, for giving me a glimpse into the book through your imaginations.

Name: KeithWendy Jo, if the book thing gets adapted to film, you are so art directing it if I have any say (please don't let the fact that historically writers have no say mitigate the sentiment).

Name: KeithSome damn fine 'shaw action, shipmates. Bastardess, you are reading between the lines and straight into my soul aren't you?
Friday, 29 April 2005 - 11:18 PM CDT
Name: WendyJoI can see labs' Barber-y shop in the movie version, Keith.

Name: BastardessKeith- I'm not sure what you're referring to specifically but since I found this blog and your book I feel the void is a bit more satisfied. I have that sort of pirate spirit too and can't help but try and get to the middle of it all. Maybe you're picking up on that? Can you say more...

Name: labsnabysThank you, WendyJo. Personally, when I look at it now the bamboo gives me a headache...kind of like one of those optical illusions where you stare at the black spot and the outer rings start to spin? Anyway, I am astounded that you did your 'shaw using Paint! My first attempt was done using the mouse, and I found it to be frustrating and extremely difficult. Now I'm drawing and taking a digital photo...much easier to control. lol Congratulations on a great drawing.

Thanks RDD... I can't guarantee that they'll be great drawings like you've had, but I will do my bestest attempts.

If anyone else has suggestions for me then they are also quite welcome to email me directly.

hi everybody,

Feenxc, you have my complete sympathy for your move! I hate moving house - in fact my husband and I joke that we'll never split up because neither of us could be bothered to move out!
We'll miss you lots too... hope your dsl switch flipping goes smoothly!
See you soon, and kisshugs to you too!

How disappointing. You will be sorely missed, feenxc. I hope you can steal time to come on every other day or so. Until the 13th, I bid you good tidings and a smooth transition. Remember, if you don't use it, pitch it. It makes moving a whole lot easier. (>'
Sincerely,
RDD

Name: KeithI thought I sensed a sort of pirate spirit. What would you do if you were at a pirate bar and a regular offered to buy you a tankard of beer or a gill of grog (your choice) with a spoonful of gunpowder or without (again, your choice)?
Monday, 2 May 2005 - 3:13 AM CDT
Name: BastardessThis is so hard to answer because I want to say a thousand things. First though, do you know of any real female pirates??? My deep dark soul would swig a gill of grog with two spoons of gunpowder, chase it with a tankard of beer, laugh and make jokes all night long, and for that brief moment live out my fantasy of being one of the boys. My deep and not so dark soul would probably do the same thing. Only the rum would be tequila, I would be in cowgirl boots, a joint might be involved, and the fantasy wouldn't matter anymore because the pirate would be everything I ever wished for in a man, and we would sail our two ships off side by side through many many adventures. Now you, only the regular is the only piratess ever. And she's hot...
